Real projects, real plant problems
Examples of the studies and reviews MHP delivers. Client details are withheld.
Mixed-metals plant development
- Challenge
- A UK recycler handling Zorba, meters, gas valves, compressors and e-waste needed better liberation and cleaner, higher-value products.
- What MHP did
- MHP assessed the site and material mix, then designed a manufacturer-independent route in three packages that can be funded separately.
- Outcome
- A phased, priced basis for deciding what to build, in what order and how far to go.
Legacy fines value recovery
- Challenge
- A recycler had been offered a disposal outlet for stockpiled fines but suspected metal value would leave site with it.
- What MHP did
- MHP ran a small feasibility trial, found missed fine ferrous was the strongest opportunity, and designed a mobile two-phase route.
- Outcome
- A low-capital first phase that recovers known value and builds the evidence before any further spend.
Drying drum line audit
- Challenge
- A rotary drying line for mixed non-ferrous metals was running well below its expected throughput.
- What MHP did
- MHP audited the whole line, from infeed and drum to heating, extraction, screening and dust discharge.
- Outcome
- Interacting faults separated into a clear, prioritised order of work instead of one-off fixes.
From first call to problem solved
One point of contact for everything on your site. Tell us the problem, and we bring the right mix of operations know-how, parts and engineering to fix it.
Tell us the problem
Call or email. A few photos and a short description are enough to start.
We assess it
On site or remotely, we find the cause, not just the symptom.
Agree the fix
Scope, cost and timing agreed before work starts.
We resolve it
Engineering, parts, process changes, or all three.
Follow up
We check it’s working, report back and flag what needs attention next.
- One point of contactFrom a wear part to a new line.
- Agreed response timesSet up front for breakdown call-outs.
- Clear scope and priceAgreed before any work starts.
- Honest adviceRepair before replace, and we say when we supply.
Ideas made visible
Design concepts, site visualisations and practical work.
What needs sorting on your site?
Whether it’s a breakdown, a part you need, a line that isn’t performing or an improvement you want to make. No lengthy brief needed. We’ll come back with the next step and a clear price.
